Alpine Meadows is a big ski area - even by Eastern US standards. Being the first in the Western US to install a six person high speed chair the lifts queues are usually pretty short too.

Combine the above with stunning views of Lake Tahoe and all the entertainment located in the Tahoe area and you have a great vacation destination.
