It's not a $600 Women's Attiva Flame Boot but Tecnica's Women's Attiva Spark Ski Boot with SuperFit liner has the stiffness and features that will take intermediate and advanced skiers on all sides of the mountain with comfort and control. Tecnica developed their Attiva line to answer the fit and performance concerns that affect women skiers who want a responsive ski boot that they can wear all day. While the Attiva Spark's SuperFit liner doesn't have the same versatile customization features found boots like Tecnica's Attiva V6 it does offer the Twin Support System along the upper cuff that's available on all of Tecnica's top-end performance boots. The Twin Support System has extended upper flaps that help distribute lateral pressure creating a closer closure around your shin. Unlike unisex boots the Attiva designs are highly female-specific with a scalloped calf profile that keeps the fit comfortable even when you have the aluminum buckles dialed in all the way on the three-position catches. This season Tecnica added a new heel cradle that acts as a snap-in wedge on the boot board. If you have concerns with keeping your hips forward snap in the 2.5-mm. wedge. If it's not an issue keep it out. There's also a shaped Attiva Rear Spoiler with a Velcro attachment for easy modifications or removal. We're always impressed by Tecnica boots and the fact that the company plays down the customization options on the SuperFit liner boots but design still offers more adjustments and modification potential than most ski boots on the market. If performance matters and fit usually isn't a hassle the Attiva Spark with SuperFit liner is a great boot for your ski season.
