The Suunto Pioneer Sea Kayak Compass is compact with a bracket system that makes it easy to detach Its part of Suuntos line of smaller marine compasses that can be used in a variety of vessels

I cannot understand why you did not make the N/S/E/W letters more readable. I cannot see them from the side. The only thing that is visable is the degrees? It looks like a good compas but I will probably be returning it since I cannot read the directions

I need to know..
Thank you for taking comments. I have owned the suunto compass for 1 years and mainly it works OK. My kayak is polypropylene Storm Current and the top has a sharp division and the compass being straight does not mold itself. It sits sideways and I keep having to put it back which is not an easy thing with the knots that holds the compass underneath. Anyway, that is one thing with it, but mainly I have been wondering why did you reverse east and west on the top writting? For exemple if I am going west, it indicates east and same reverse, why?? Could you please let me know when you get this letter, I would love to understand the logic of this. Thank you kindly, Lyne,Tofino,BC, Canada
