Good
Trail running with the LED's is OK until you start barreling down a hill at full speed. Switch to the halogen before you start a high speed decent. I use my night rider with explorer headband for really lighting up the night!

Slick and functional
this is a great deal for a headlamp. you have the option of the LED and the focus of a traditional headlamp all in one. takes AA which are more common that AAA which is a bonus. the headlamp is a little heavier than i thought. it is certainly not as light as the tikka, however, the option of having a focused light the illuminates more that a few feet in front of you is worth the ounces. all in all, this is a very strong headlamp.

Great L.E.D.s
The L.E.D.s are great and put out plenty of light. The Xenon is weak but helps you see objects farther away when needed. All in all it is a good headlamp. I just wish it came with the top strap. (sold seperately)

A good combination of LED and halogen lamp
The myolight 3 is a great handfree headlight if you're going on a short 3 day 2 night kind of hike. Even though it's twice as heavy as Petzl's tikka series headlights, the additional wight is not really noticable once you wear it on your head. The range is good, but the burn time for the halogen lamp is slightly dissapointing being only 4 hours. However, have no fear as you can always use the LED lights to provide you with 120 hours of clear illumination.
