No down side.
These hiking shoes were comfortable from the first stride, and they become more comfortable with each outing. As you would expect with Patagonia, the quality is unsurpassed. Tody my foot slipped in the water during a shallow stream crossing, and indeed, the Gore-Tex worked! My feet and socks stayed dry.
