great pack, top of the line
I too bought the pack based on the Outside Buyer's Guide review. It's not the cheapest pack, but it's worth the money if you're looking for a convertible backpack/roller. The interior is well laid out and the removable day pack is great - the day pack is not huge, but its thin profile is great for negotiating crowded buses and streets. I used the pack for a month in Greece and it worked well, even when I maxed out the capacity.

Exactly what i had expected
I'm preparing to go on a fishing expedition to Canada and read about the Osprey Meridian 22 in the 2006 Annual Outside Buyer's Guide. It had won an award for best gear. I did a little research and found the backpack here on Altrec. As soon as it showed up at the house, I inspected it and familarized myself with the features. I can definately see why this is an award-winning bag. On an overnight weekend trip, I packed everything I needed in the backpack and enjoyed all the organizational aspects plus it's overall size and durability. The daypack feature is such a plus! I'm looking forward to the fishing trip and really expect the backpack to serve as a practical yet stylish asset.

Worth every cent
This bag is just the business! Well designed, tough and rugged but with without being over engineered. It looks classy, it looks sporty, it looks athletic and is brimming with features. The wheels are a bags version of a hummer; this bag will not flip over on you and snap your wrist off like the other carry ons do. The zips are top class and the day pack zips back on in a second; no fumbling around. On the back it feels sure and takes the weight off the lower spine and puts it squarely on the shoulders. I will not hesitate to buy another osprey. As I work offshore in West Africa and live in Latin America this is the only bag that can handle the on the go and rough lifestyle it will have to face.

Perfect pack to tour Asia with
I needed a pack to travel through Southeast Asia with. I had to be able to beat it up, yet walk into the Shangri-La in KL. This was exactly what I needed. Zip it up, and its a suitcase. Unzip the back, and it's a full-suspension backpack. It also has wheels & the backpack suspension quickly slides out as use for a handle so it becomes wheeled luggage. Now, why it didn't get 5 stars: 1st one I bought had a defect, returned & replaced for no charge. The one I took on the trip with me lost a zipper. That is understandable from the amount of use & abuse it got (17 flights in under a month.) C'mon Osprey, for this price it should be flawless & indestructable

My favorite possession
This is the best travel bag ever. The size is great and the wheels and zippers are so sturdy. I have taken this on a month trip through South America with plenty of room (even as a girl who likes to bring a lot of shoes). I love it so much I bought my boyfriend one too.
