Oakley Polarized Bottlecap Sunglasses

If there was ever a complaint about Oakley's sporty Half Jacket XLJ and Half Jacket sunglasses designs it might be that sometimes the things look too sporty for casual stuff like commutes and kicking back on a cruise. Oakley's Polarized Bottlecap offers the same half frame profile with an incredibly lightweight feel but the look isn't uber-sport. This is lightweight eyewear for urban settings and those other places where you don't need to intimidate the competition with a triathlon-ready look. This one features a polarized lens making it ideal for reducing the glare from reflected light on water and snow. While most sunglasses manufacturers rely on sandwiching a layer of polarized film between two lenses and calling it good Oakley designs their polarized lenses through a special liquid fusion technology that introduces the polarized filter while the lens material is still in a hot liquid state bonding the film at a molecular level that doesn't leave you peering through the glue residue that other polarized lens manufacturers leave behind. It's one of the reasons that Oakley eyewear recently dominated Private Pilot Magazine's Sunglass Optics Shootout 2 in an extensive variety of performance categories.
