The Nike Air Structure Triax Storm running shoe is an all-weather performer that's excellent for trails and cinder tracks in moderately damp conditions. The upper features a highly water resistant Clima-Fit textile upper with synthetic leather overlays to augment support. Nike built their Air Structure Triax Storm with plenty of ergonomic support for enhanced pronation control. Inside you'll find an anatomical sockliner for excellent arch support and a dual-density Phylon midsole and Footbridge for enhanced stability. Nike also added a W.A.R.P. Tech support in the forefoot to help minimize the duration of pronation through your running stride. This support combined with a dual-pressure Air Sole Unit in the heel and flexing Air-Sole unit in the forefoot enhances stability comfort and control with every stride. We were impressed with the multi-component outsole tread especially the durable BRS 100 carbon rubber in the heel. Nike used a traditional waffle lug pattern in the forefoot of the Air Structure Triax Storm but the waffle tread isn't as pronounced as some trail shoes which helps enhance the comfort when your trail runs transition to urban alleyways.
