light and water tight. Windproof too. A BL best buy. When the package came I thought nothing was in it. Feather light yet wind/water proof. For heavier needs, I have the Stimulus Jacket. Different review. I use this vest for cycling/hiking. Large fits me perfectly. Pearl Izumi Large is big on me. This has elastic at shoulders/waist, internal storage pocket, outer zippered pocket. Perfect. Put it in your pack and its there if you need it.

lightwieght and looks great !
I ordered this vest because I love mountain hardwear gear and I thought it would be a good running vest but it looks and feels so good I decided to wear it in the cool fall evenings as a layer. Very light and looks great over my M.H. perpetual long sleeve t. M in northern cal.
