Marmot Men's Ion Windshirt

Great multi-use jacket
This was exactly what I had hoped it would be! Its very lightweight and can tuck into nearly any spot in my pack, or even in a large pant pocket. It definitely cuts any chill from the wind, but yet is not an overly warm jacket, thus making it perfect for those cool breezes on the summits during warmer months of the year when you dont need a really need (or want) an overly warm jacket. Additionally, it is stylish enough to wear even for "non-hiking" adventures around town.

Exactly what I wanted
This was recommended by another backpacker friend of mine. I have an older DriClime Windshirt (which includes the fleece). This has served me well on many 3 season backpacking trips, but I like the flexibility of separating this into two layers. So now a thin insulating base layer and this Ion windshirt actually ends up being lighter and more flexible. I usually use this windshirt on trips where rain is not likely expected and generally for in camp or when I'm not in motion.
