Previous air mattress user
Weight has always been a factor but comfort is so more important! The SynMat 9 is excellent in sleeping quality and warm. Previous used an air mattress and had to carry an extra pump that weights more then the entire sleeping pad system, although takes longer to inflate. The ability to make the pad firmer or softer without taking out a pump is well worth the wait. For my needs the SynMat 9 was exactly what I was looking for and more, very pleased...Free Shipping was icing on the cake!

Very warm, very comfortable, slightly heavy
I use this for all season hammock camping. I was nervous about it's ability to insulate, but after the first 20 degF night, I was hooked. The built-in pump is a little tricky, and takes a while to inflate, but patience is rewarded with a wonderfully soft and warm bed. The non-slip surface is pretty effective. The whole thing seems very well made. Packs small, but a little heavy. Overall, I love it. (May have to buy a SynMat 7 for summer backpacking...)
