Men's Driver X Snowboard Boot from Burton

Burton Men's Driver X Snowboard Boot

Getting the highest level of power transmission from your leg muscles to your snowboard edges often requires an exceptionally supportive boot. Burton delivers the best with their ultra-stiff Driver X snowboard boot--but it doesn't jam your feet into an unyielding vice. This season Burton redesigned their Imprint 3 liner without taking away any of the customizable refinements like the J-Bar adjustable heel hold system and the Outlast® Adaptive Comfort™ technology. They also added a new rubber toe cap for enhanced durability--especially if you plan on hiking up ridgelines. Outlast® technology is a thermal phase-changing material that helps absorb excess heat while you're hiking up backcountry ridges and releases the thermal warmth as your feet chill during long rides down the fall line. The result is a more consistent insulation performance that you can count on throughout the day. The Power Panels inside the liner contain memory foam materials that snap back to their original positions far better than the traditional boot materials that typically "pack in" after a season of hard use. You'll also find B3 gel cushioning inside the Vibram EcoStep (because it's made from recycled rubber) Evolution outsole for added impact-absorption on big air landings. Like last year the Burton Driver X has a Streamlined Speed Zone lacing system that allows you to tighten and loosen the support along key areas to match the terrain so you're not uncomfortably hogtied in a vise like other high-end snowboard boots. All of the other refinements on the Driver X emphasize weight reduction including lighter asymmetrical Powershell reinforcement panels and lighter full-length backstays. When every ounce of energy matters the Burton Driver X is your ultimate power platform. If you want similar freeride features with considerably more flex check out the performance options in the Burton Serow--it features the same new Imprint 3 liner.
