Boy's Insulated Element Jacket from Burton

Burton Boy's Insulated Element Jacket

Adult jackets tend to have lighter insulation in the sleeves and thicker insulation around the torso but kids have smaller dimensions and a smaller thermal core and that's why Burton added a full 100-gm. layer of warm synthetic Thermacore insulation throughout the sleeves and torso in their Insulated Element Jacket. After all if kids are comfortable they have more fun and usually learn to ride or ski without annoying distractions. The Insulated Element Jacket features waterproof and moderately breathable Storm-Lite fabric with taping along all critical seams for extra weather protection and enhanced durability. Unlike some Burton boy's jackets this version of the Element has what Burton calls a "fulltime" hood--that's one that is permanently attached. That's usually not a big deal for most kids but some don't like a hood flapping in the breeze if they're already wearing a ski or snowboard helmet. The Element features dual chest pockets and an internal ATM pocket that's great for resort cards lunch money and hotel room keys. This is a great design for budget-conscious families who want quality with a few extra features.
