Attracting attention from around the world, Whitewater is known for one thing…powder. Cradled in the heart of British Columbia’s legendary Selkirk Mountains and renowned for epic winters, Whitewater hosts a dependable dry snowfall that often totals more than 13 metres a season, that’s more than 45 feet! Far from the maddening crowds of the mega resorts, Whitewater owes its well-deserved laid back reputation to short lift lines, reasonable prices and big hospitality.

When it comes to skiing and riding, Whitewater Ski Resort serves up an endless feast of terrain. Explore the stunning array of steeps, deeps, chutes, bowls, glades, groomed cruisers and gentle rollers. Combined with all the natural launches, drops, and hits you can shake your sticks at, Whitewater is the ultimate natural winter playground. In the unlikely event you get tired of rocking all the natural features you can always test your mettle on the metal in the Whitewater Rail Park. Ego bruised? Go from bro (or sis!) to pro with one of their freestyle clinics and get that chairlift cheering!

A rustic and cozy full service daylodge offers everything you could want to complement your day on the mountain. You can gear up with their full line up of Rossignol equipment rentals at the rental and repair shop, spot what you forgot (from mittens to ibuprofen) at the Whitewater Store, and drop the soon-to-be shredders off at the WH2O daycare or book them in for a full day of our Learning Centre’s Adventure Club.

Located on the second floor, the Fresh Tracks Café cooks up a fantastic assortment of high quality food prepared fresh right in front of you. With a well priced, eclectic, healthy, and phenomenally tasty menu, the Fresh Tracks Café is consistently honoured as the finest ski resort food in Canada! Haven’t had enough? Take some of their famous recipes home by picking up a copy of the Whitewater Cooks cookbook, written by our own Shelley Adams!

Locally brewed beer and après ski snacks served in Coal Oil Johnny’s Pub make the perfect excuse to kick back and unbuckle the boots at the end of a powder-perfect day.

Groomed daily for both skate and classic skiing, the Whitewater Nordic Centre offers high elevation terrain and reliable snow to cross country skiers. Winding from the Daylodge, 11 trails – groomed and track set – serve up stellar skiing loops suitable for all levels.

Combine your ski days at Whitewater with a day at Red Mountain, a nearby snowcat or heli-skiing lodge, or stay overnight at the famous Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort.

Ski and snowboard at Whitewater Winter ResortRemember, it’s all about the snow. Some ski resorts measure their seasonal snowfall in metres, others in feet. Since 1976, Whitewater’s legendary winter has instead been measured in stories – the kind you take home and tell again and again.

It’s snow you’ll always remember. Pure, Simple and Real…DEEP
