Brixen im Thale Review
Submitted by: Paul from England on 10/19/09
Spent christmas 2005 in brixen, staying at hotel brixnerwirt, its a farly priced hotel, the food was not the best and the room pretty basic, but the staff were very pleasant.
Brixen in a small place and has no real heart, its just a main road running through it. the skiing was plentiful for an intermediate skier, the pass covers you for the wilder kaiser, but annoyingly once you go up the first gondola you still have to get another lift before you can ski,in all the other resorts in wilder kaiser you can ski after the first lift.
The weather was pretty fierce when i was there and visibity was low,it was easy to get lost and ski down to the wrong resort, the signs and maps were not clear enough.
There isn't much in the way of apres ski, but i would reccomend Pa Pa La pub, the staff there were very friendly and funny. Overall I would say brixen was OK, I would go to that region again, but stay in a different resort.
