Argentina
The snow season in the Argentinian Andes runs from June to October, and conditions are usually best in July and August. The altitude of the Argentine resorts is highest in the north (Mendoza province), declining as you move south towards Tierra del Fuego. Mendoza province is home to Las Lenas and Los Penitentes, among others.
Whilst the snow is most reliable at the higher elevations, Gran Catedral near Bariloche is a world-class destination and Tierra del Fuego is renowned for its spectacular mountains rising up from the sea.
